Specialist Consultant – Brain Injury Medicine (Government Facility)

About the role

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a qualified Specialist/Consultant in Brain Injury Medicine to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning for patients with traumatic and non‑traumatic brain injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with traumatic brain injuries, acquired brain injuries, and complex neurological conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans to improve cognitive, physical, and functional outcomes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and other specialists.
• Monitor neurological recovery, adjust treatment plans, and manage complications such as spasticity, seizures, and cognitive deficits.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families, and collaborate with neurosurgeons, neurologists, and rehabilitation physicians.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) and postgraduate specialist qualification in Brain Injury Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Neurology, or related field.
• Western qualifications preferred (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board).
• Relevant post‑specialization experience in brain injury management and rehabilitation.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.

Required skills
