Specialist Consultant – Cardiovascular Surgeon (Government Sector)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Specialist Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon to work in government hospitals across the UAE. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical assessments of cardiovascular patients.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.
• Perform cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including complex and emergency cases.
• Develop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
• Carry out pre-operative evaluations and provide post-operative management and follow-up care.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification (MD, MS, DNB, FRCS) in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• UK CCT in Cardiothoracic Surgery or equivalent recognised specialist qualification (preferred).
• Minimum three years of post-specialisation experience.
• Strong expertise in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• Excellent clinical, surgical, communication and decision-making skills.
