Specialist Consultant Dermatologist (American Board)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dermatologist with an American Board qualification to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dermatological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up care for patients with a wide range of medical and dermatological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive dermatological consultations and clinical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic skin, hair, and nail conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform appropriate dermatological procedures and minor surgical interventions.
• Manage conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, pigmentation disorders, infections, and skin lesions.
• Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic procedures, including skin biopsies where appropriate.
• Provide counseling regarding skin health, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and coordinate care with other specialties.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior medical staff when required.

Required profile

• American Board Certification in Dermatology or recognized equivalent.
• Valid medical registration in the country of practice.
• Relevant clinical experience in Dermatology.
• Strong diagnostic and procedural dermatology skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing, subject to health authority assessment.
