Specialist Consultant Pediatric Surgeon - American Board

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pediatric Surgeon holding an American Board qualification to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The role involves delivering specialised surgical care to infants, children and adolescents across a broad spectrum of congenital, developmental and acquired conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and develop surgical treatment plans for paediatric patients.
• Perform a range of paediatric surgical procedures, including congenital, neonatal, abdominal and gastrointestinal surgeries.
• Provide comprehensive pre‑operative and post‑operative care, managing emergencies and complications.
• Collaborate closely with paediatricians, neonatologists, anaesthesiologists, intensivists and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Counsel parents and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment options and follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to clinical governance and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• American Board Certification in Pediatric Surgery or recognized equivalent.
• Valid medical registration in the country of practice and eligibility for UAE medical licensing.
• Significant clinical and surgical experience in paediatric and neonatal surgery.
• Strong communication and decision‑making abilities within a multidisciplinary environment.
