Specialist - Innovation Scouting and Responsible Sourcing

About the role

ADNOC Group is looking for a Specialist in Innovation Scouting and Responsible Sourcing in Abu Dhabi. The role plays a key part in identifying and integrating innovative solutions and sustainable practices within the supply chain, acting as an expert in emerging technologies, strategic partnerships and ESG-aligned sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Innovation scouting: identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends and solutions; conduct market research to find partners, startups and academic institutions; build a network of innovators and thought leaders.
• Support pilots of new technologies, assess feasibility and impact, and follow the procurement-led innovation roadmap and governance framework.
• Analyze unsolicited value propositions and scan the market and customer insights to build a pipeline of high-impact ideas, working with Category Management, Business Facing Procurement, Purchasing, Projects Contracts, Operations Contracts, Supply Management, Procurement Excellence and Planning teams.
• Enable suppliers in the ADNOC ecosystem to share data and bring innovative solutions.
• Develop and implement responsible sourcing strategies that prioritize sustainability, ethics and ESG compliance, including supplier audits and assessments.
• Work toward carbon-neutral products, production and supply chains, and resource-efficient business models, in line with the Health, Safety & Environment Directorate and the ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Technology Enablement team to integrate sustainability into IT systems, benchmark processes against industry leaders and run reports and communications on external programmes.
• Manage departmental budgets, operational plans, performance management and MIS reporting, and support HSE compliance and continuous improvement.
• Nurture relationships with suppliers, industry associations and sustainability organizations, negotiate contracts and represent the company at industry events.
