Specialist – Survey & GIS

About the role

Responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising field survey activities; collecting, processing, and interpreting survey and geospatial data; preparing technical drawings, maps, and GIS outputs; maintaining spatial databases; and providing accurate survey information to support engineering, construction, and development projects. Acts as a key point of contact for customer requests, ensuring timely delivery of survey products and adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise field survey works including plot demarcation, staking‑out of property boundaries, topographic and geodetic surveys.
• Implement site visits to guide prospective investors in checking and inspecting land against their requirements.
• Complete handover of land property to investors after land lease agreements with Abu Dhabi Ports.
• Supervise and coordinate the efforts of the outsourced survey contractor’s team for Abu Dhabi Ports.
• Prepare relevant maps and drawings and maintain up‑to‑date land records.
• Provide excellent client relationships and services to investors, third‑party consultants, and contractors.
• Perform survey calculations and process data collected from the field.

Required profile

• Diploma in Surveying or equivalent (minimum).
• Proficient in written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the surveying field.
• Experience with municipalities, town planning, dedicated surveying firms, consulting and contracting engineering companies.
