Sports Medicine Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Sports Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves comprehensive medical care for athletes, from injury diagnosis to full rehabilitation, while also providing research and counselling support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatments for sports‑related injuries.
• Use manual techniques to prevent and treat muscular and skeletal conditions.
• Educate and counsel athletes on injury management and recovery strategies.
• Implement mental‑performance techniques such as goal setting, visualisation, and relaxation.
• Offer nutritional guidance to support rehabilitation.
• Order, interpret, and document diagnostic imaging results.
• Maintain detailed medical records for each athlete.
• Conduct pre‑participation evaluations to assess injury risk.
• Coordinate care with other medical experts, coaches, and trainers.
• Develop emergency injury procedures and lead research on injury prevention.

Required profile

• Specialisation degree in sports medicine or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in sports medicine.
• Current medical licence valid in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of sports culture and sound clinical judgement.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with athletes, coaches, and multidisciplinary teams.
