Sr. Solar Design Engineer (Post Sales)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Solar Design Engineer (Post‑Sales) to lead the detailed design of large‑scale solar PV projects in Karachi. The role focuses on translating customer requirements into optimized, code‑compliant designs and supporting the operations team during implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise solar PV systems to maximise energy output, considering panel orientation, tilt and shading.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, balance‑of‑system (BOS) details and reports.
• Develop structural designs for support structures, mounting systems and foundations.
• Design electrical layouts, select cables, switchgear and protection devices.
• Create 3‑D models and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Conduct on‑site assessments to evaluate ground conditions, topography and other factors influencing design.
• Ensure all designs comply with building codes, industry standards and local regulations such as wind and seismic loads.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in solar system design and engineering.
