Staff Nurse – Ambulatory Orthopedics

About the role

We are seeking experienced Ambulatory Orthopedic Nurses to join our new Orthopedic Service Line. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care across all ages in an ambulatory setting, emphasizing evidence‑based practice and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient admissions, assessments, and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct and indirect care, administer medications using barcode scanning, and document patient conditions and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans and cultural considerations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, and lead the caregiver team to achieve planned outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to professional practice models, and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and a valid national nursing license.
• Minimum two years of post‑graduate experience in an ambulatory care setting (experience requirement waived for UAE nursing graduates).
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – to be obtained within 6 months if not already held.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Barcode scanning for medication administration.
