Tailor – Luxury Hotel Uniform & Linen Specialist

About the role

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles The Palm as we are currently looking for a Tailor, reporting to the Linen/Laundry Supervisor. The Tailor provides high‑quality tailoring and alteration services to support the hotel’s operational and guest service needs, handling uniforms, staff clothing, linen and other textile items.

Key responsibilities

• Repair all flat work such as bed linen, bathrobes, towels and bath mats used in rooms.
• Repair table linen, kitchen linen, curtain headings and hems.
• Repair, alter and sew buttons on all hotel uniforms.
• Perform minor repair work and alteration of guest items upon request.
• Assist uniform staff with checking, sorting and distributing uniforms.
• Maintain machines and work area clean and in good repair.
• Adhere to OH&S policies and procedures.
• Check machines at regular intervals.

Required profile

• Secondary education.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar hospitality capacity.
• Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Well presented and professionally groomed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to the Raffles brand promise and luxury standards.
