Team Leader, In Room Dining

About the role

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, set among Dubai's dunes and rooted in Emirati culture, is hiring a Team Leader for In Room Dining. The role assists the Assistant Outlet Manager and/or the Outlet Manager within established hotel policies and operational standards, providing efficient, personalized, courteous and punctual service so that each guest leaves satisfied and wishes to return.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute work across the team, including multi-skilling, and brief and debrief the team
• Prepare the point of sale to a high standard and take guests' orders
• Manage the flow of guests, table placement and reservations, and check the quality and speed of waiter service
• Ensure par stocks are kept and assist with monthly inventory checks, requisitioning, storage and use of equipment
• Plan and organize festive food promotions and the weekly roster, maintain the daily logbook and outlet bulletin board
• Set up the restaurant, checking cleaning and the quality of equipment, glassware, cutlery, china and napkins
• Supervise end-of-day closing, check food and beverage leaving the kitchen, and handle guest enquiries and complaints
• Carry out periodic inventories and ensure the team projects a warm, professional image

Required profile

• Hotel or Restaurant Management diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent
• HACCP certification
• 2-3 years in a similar position in a five-star hotel
