Tech Lead - SDET

About the role

The Tech Lead-SDET provides technical expertise across the software development domain and contributes to the architecture, design, development, implementation and quality automation standards of ISA software products. The role works with product teams, project managers and IT solutions managers to turn business needs into technical implementations, and guides other technology experts while maintaining strong relationships with project, product, operations, governance and enterprise development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver software products and components, support the technology lifecycle and analyse application architecture, stacks, design, deployment and automated testing.
• Translate business needs into technical implementations and review technical documentation, user guides, training manuals and system specifications.
• Help establish efficient continuous delivery and production processes, and create a deployment architecture based on an open-source technology stack for automation.
• Monitor user interfaces against requirements, implement best practices and emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with architecture and agreed service levels.
• Install and maintain security patches in production and non-production environments, and give technical governance and sign-off on engineering deliverables.
• Share knowledge internally, influence technology decisions and perform other duties requested by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on software test automation experience with proven delivery in agile squads; travel, airline or e-commerce platform experience preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to analyse telemetry, flake data and defect trends and turn them into actions.

Required skills

• Modern test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured or equivalent).
• At least one automation language (Java, C#, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• CI/CD pipelines and quality gates (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Software architecture, APIs, microservices and databases.
• Performance, load and non-functional testing; observability tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace.
