Technical Engineer-Architect

About the role

Careers International is looking for a highly motivated Technical Engineer-Architect to join its growing team in Abu Dhabi. The role bridges design and construction by turning architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications that are feasible and compliant with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop and refine architectural drawings.
• Conduct technical reviews of architectural designs, identifying potential constructability issues.
• Prepare detailed construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and regulations.
• Take part in site visits and give technical support to construction teams.
• Research and stay up to date on the latest construction technologies and materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Proven experience preparing technical construction documents (drawings and specifications).
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• A valid UAE driving licence is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
