Telecom RF & Network Engineer - EPC Oil & Gas

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Telecom RF & Network Engineer for a full-time, 3-month assignment on an Oil & Gas / EPC project in the UAE. The role suits engineers with proven experience in EPC projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Energy sector, with strong expertise in RF Engineering, UHF/VHF radio systems and IP networking. ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer RF communication networks for EPC projects.
• Perform frequency planning, link budget calculations, propagation analysis, interference studies and coverage assessments.
• Work with UHF/VHF radio systems, repeaters, base stations, antennas, handheld/mobile radios and dispatch systems.
• Support microwave integration and telecom system integration.
• Handle installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of telecom systems.
• Support IP network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing and switching, and apply basic cybersecurity practices such as firewalls, access control and network segmentation.
• Review and develop telecom engineering deliverables, drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, consultants and multidisciplinary EPC teams throughout project execution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of telecom engineering experience.
• EPC experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Energy projects.
• Experience preparing and reviewing RF studies, network diagrams, datasheets, material requisitions, method statements and commissioning procedures.
• Strong communication, coordination and project management skills.
