Trainee Ordinary Seaman (Trainee OS)

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Trainee Ordinary Seaman (Trainee OS) for a vessel based in Dubai. The position is full-time and open to freshers who have completed a pre-sea course. The trainee works alongside the deck crew, assisting in maintenance, cargo operations, mooring activities and general vessel housekeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Assist during mooring and unmooring operations
• Support deck cleaning, maintenance and housekeeping
• Assist in cargo loading and unloading operations
• Maintain deck equipment, tools and stores
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies and onboard procedures

Required profile

• Completed pre-sea course
• Basic knowledge of shipboard safety procedures
• Physically fit and willing to work onboard at sea
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Freshers are encouraged to apply

• Passport, CDC, PST, FPFF, EFA, PSSR, STSDSD and medical certificate
• INDOS and SID certificates
• Yellow fever vaccination certificate
• Pre-sea course certificate
• Aadhaar card and PAN card
