Warehouse Operator Specialist

About the role

DSV is hiring a Warehouse Operator Specialist to supervise and coordinate warehouse floor operations. The aim is to keep handling errors and damages to a minimum, ensure 100% pick-and-pack accuracy and compliance with company procedures, maintain warehouse productivity and satisfy customers.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and allocate manpower and equipment to expedite orders by priority, plan warehouse space and supervise picking, packing and put-away.
• Assign bin locations, check that storage follows instructions and recheck manual put-away and picking lists for right quantities, dimensions and products.
• Supervise packing for outbound shipments against country and customer specifications, including certifications and stickers.
• Record damages, short and over shipments, prepare MDNs and report them to the Client Services Representative.
• Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts and location checks, reconcile stock discrepancies and prepare variance reports.
• Implement QHSE and security policies, maintain good housekeeping and manage staff discipline on attendance and uniform/safety shoe requirements.
• Elevate problems and improvement ideas to the supervisor, respond to client queries within 24 hours, track manually issued materials and follow up on MRs and STOs.
• Prepare KPI and project reports, arrange MHE for loading and offloading, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or graduate degree in any discipline.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in warehousing and distribution, including 1 year in a similar position.
• Able to work independently, with communication, planning and organizational skills.
