Welding Supervisor for Oil & Gas EPC Projects

About the role

Target Engineering is looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead welding and fabrication activities on large‑scale Oil & Gas EPC projects across the UAE. You will ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements while meeting productivity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate welding and fabrication work at project sites and fabrication yards.
• Review engineering drawings, isometrics, WPS, ITPs and project specifications.
• Prepare welding schedules, allocate manpower and set work priorities.
• Lead welders, fitters, foremen and helpers to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Monitor welding parameters, conduct visual inspections and coordinate QA/QC, NDT and client inspections.
• Manage consumables handling, storage, issuance and traceability.
• Enforce hot‑work permits, PPE compliance and welding safety standards.
• Track productivity, equipment performance and prepare daily progress reports.
• Collaborate closely with QA/QC, Engineering, Planning, Material Control, Warehouse, NDT and HSE teams.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of welding and fabrication experience, including 3‑5 years in a supervisory role.
• Background in Oil & Gas, EPC, petrochemical, marine or heavy fabrication projects.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Welding Technology or related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Welder, CSWIP 3.0/3.1 VT, AWS CWI or BGAS are advantageous.

Required skills

• SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SAW welding processes.
• Strong knowledge of welding consumables, equipment, metallurgy and welding parameters.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, WPS and ITP documents.
