About the role
The Account Manager III will own a portfolio of strategic accounts in the scientific publishing space, driving revenue growth and renewal performance. You will act as a trusted advisor, using data insights to shape solutions that meet institutional research and teaching needs.
Key responsibilities
- Manage 100‑200 accounts, meeting revenue targets and renewal rates.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, revisiting goals throughout the year.
- Analyze usage data and performance trends to assess account health and proactively address issues.
- Renew and renegotiate agreements, handling paperwork and compliance.
- Identify cross‑selling opportunities across journal and non‑journal products.
- Research client organizations to tailor solutions to their specific strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular forecasting.
- Collaborate with customer success, sales operations and editorial teams.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events.
- Travel up to 30% and work flexible hours to support global customers.
Required profile
- 4‑year undergraduate degree.
- 5‑7+ years of experience meeting sales targets and managing strategic accounts.
- Proven ability to sell in complex, consultative environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using customer data to drive decisions.
- Excellent written communication and independent work style.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems.
