Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our reputable medical device company in Dubai. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting the finance team in month‑end and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and review vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Support financial and management reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns and maintain supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules and reports.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain vendor master data and support procurement‑related accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in a B2B multinational environment, preferably within a medical device or similar sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
