Accountant

About the role

Union Mall is seeking a diligent Accountant to manage its financial records and ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards. The role involves handling daily transactions, preparing reports, and supporting VAT filing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting documents.
• Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and financial accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Verify VAT calculations and assist with VAT return preparation and filing in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, and auditors regarding financial matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and tax rules.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
