Accountant

About the role

This position covers the full range of accounting operations, from day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations to financial reporting and client onboarding checks. It suits someone who can manage several tasks and priorities while working independently and with the wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and payroll processing
• Follow up on payments with customers, the internal team and management
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting principles and regulations
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and other financial transactions
• Support internal teams with financial insights, including SOA preparation and client payment reconciliation
• Process invoices, receipts, payments and reimbursements accurately and on time
• Run periodic internal audits to find and fix errors and inefficiencies
• Stay up to date with accounting regulation changes and industry trends
• Verify each client against AML rules and maintain their KYC during onboarding
• Analyse financial data and produce reports such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CA preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
