Accounts and Finance Manager

About the role

Paris Group is looking for an Accounts and Finance Manager to lead and oversee the company's end-to-end financial operations. The role covers accurate, timely and compliant accounting, reporting and cost control in line with IFRS, regulatory standards and internal accounting management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, and streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Verify and process supplier, payroll and petty cash payment requests, ensuring VAT and corporate tax are recorded in full compliance with tax regulations, IFRS and FTA requirements.
• Design, implement and standardize internal controls, accounting policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Conduct scenario and deep analyses for strategic projects, identify cost-reduction opportunities and monitor overhead distributions and inventory and merchandise value.
• Ensure entries are posted in the ERP system on time with no backlog, and prepare monthly, periodical and annual financial reports for the Group CFO and top management.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable and all ledgers, conduct inter-company reconciliation and review monthly payroll and other employee payments.
• Supervise pre-audit requirements, coordinate with external auditors, and monitor financial performance against projections and analyse variances.
• Finalise the books of accounts and P&L monthly and yearly on time, maintain original documents in the archive system and securely store physical files.
• Evaluate the performance of accounting section employees and perform other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting.
• ACCA, ACA or CMA qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role at a comparable level.
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT laws and Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Experience handling external audits and preparing and analysing P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Strong Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and financial modelling.
• Ability to perform product costing, margin analysis and profitability reporting.
• Navision ERP experience is preferred.
