Al Hamra Polisher – Paint & Finish Specialist

About the role

The Al Hamra Polisher is responsible for applying and maintaining high‑quality paint, stain and finish coatings on walls, ceilings and furniture throughout The Ritz‑Carlton property in Ras Al Khaimah. The role ensures surfaces are prepared, protected and presented to the hotel’s exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain and other finishes using brushes, spray guns or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces by applying primers or sealers and remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing, burning or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces for protection during painting, post appropriate paint signs and clean/store all tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain or varnish as required.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least one year of related work experience in painting or surface finishing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with painting tools such as brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Experience in surface preparation techniques including sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, work at heights and stand for extended periods.
