Area Sales Manager – Loan DST

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Loan DST will lead a team of Field Operations Staff to drive personal banking product sales across the assigned region. Reporting to senior sales leadership, you will be responsible for meeting monthly targets, expanding market penetration and ensuring high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales targets for personal banking products by motivating teams and individuals to meet KPIs.
• Identify and develop opportunities to increase penetration in key organisations.
• Maintain the headcount plan by managing attrition and recruiting staff in a timely manner.
• Monitor FOS performance through phone call reviews, face‑to‑face visits and financial results.
• Determine training needs and coordinate appropriate programmes with the Learning & Development team.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior management of target companies and existing customers to boost cross‑sell opportunities.
• Oversee micro‑marketing activities such as kiosk events and direct marketing initiatives.
• Analyse MIS data to spot growth trends and enforce performance‑management standards.
• Ensure FOS participation in daily huddles, training, compliance and rewards celebrations.
• Provide one‑to‑one coaching to new joiners, track incentives and resolve customer complaints through cross‑functional coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in sales or retail banking, preferably in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage a high‑performing team.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with corporate clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in recruitment, attrition management and staff coaching.
• Comfort operating in a competitive, regulated banking environment.
