Assistant Legal Counsel – Franchise & Corporate Law

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Legal Counsel to ensure that Americana Restaurants’ operations in Sharjah comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The role supports the company’s growth by providing proactive legal guidance, managing risk, and protecting the business in legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess legal and business risks, offering strategic, risk‑based solutions.
• Manage franchisee relationships, reviewing and executing franchise agreements and advising Real Estate, Finance and Business Development teams on obligations.
• Prepare and review corporate documents such as board resolutions, powers of attorney, settlement agreements, loan and credit facility documentation.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts including NDAs, supplier agreements, IT contracts, procurement documents and real‑estate agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical advice to internal stakeholders.
• Support the development and implementation of governance, compliance and data‑privacy policies.

Required profile

• At least six years of experience in corporate, commercial or franchise law.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

Required skills

• Experience with litigation and contract management software.
• Knowledge of franchise business agreements and corporate/commercial law.
