Assistant Operations Supervisor - Airline Catering

About the role

Emirates Flight Catering Co (L.L.C) is looking for an Assistant Operations Supervisor in Dubai. The role supports the operations supervisor in preparing resource allocation and supervising the team that prepares, dispatches and loads catering items for flights, ensuring they are timely, safe and of high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare resource allocation with the operations supervisor, based on demand, to achieve agreed objectives and optimise resources.
• Prepare and deliver catering equipment on time, working with stakeholders.
• Delegate and supervise team members in the preparation, dispatch and loading of catering items, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Support team members' training needs, guide them, resolve performance and operational issues and promote a culture of safety and efficiency.
• Lead Behaviour Based Safety Management (BBSM) checks to minimise food safety hazards and comply with department SOPs and regulations.
• Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, tracking usage and coordinating with stakeholders so products and equipment are available for passengers while minimising waste and cost.
• Identify areas for improvement and propose plans to boost efficiency, reduce costs and improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification (mandatory).
• 3 years of experience; 2 years in a team leader capacity preferred.
• Experience in flight operations, food packing or logistics, preferably in airline catering or the food industry.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of operations, such as resource allocation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead, motivate and delegate a team.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve operational issues quickly.
• Time management and prioritisation under tight deadlines.
