Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer to join its construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the delivery of key civil infrastructure works such as pedestrian bridges, roadworks, utilities, parking areas and ramps, with strong site coordination, quality oversight and client-facing project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Resident Engineer with daily field engineering and supervision, including constructability reviews and monitoring work in progress
• Review drawings and specifications for revision compliance and coordinate with design disciplines
• Provide first-level QA by reviewing contractor submittals against plans, specifications and standards, and resolving technical issues
• Ensure tests and inspections are carried out, witnessed, documented and supervised
• Track project progress and schedule performance, and prepare reports and updates for the Resident Engineer
• Monitor material procurement and deliveries, maintain supplier data, technical catalogs and project records
• Maintain daily logs and discipline turnover records, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and enforce HSE requirements and hazard controls

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision and delivery of roads, utilities and general infrastructure works
• ADM/DMT practice license or approval
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities' regulations and approvals process

• Excellent site coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills
