Assistant/Associate Professor – Financial Technology (FinTech)

About the role

Canadian University Dubai is hiring Assistant and Associate Professors in Financial Technology (FinTech) to join its School of Management for the Spring Semester 2026‑2027. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, conducting impactful research, and contributing to curriculum development in cutting‑edge financial technology areas.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in FinTech, ensuring engaging delivery and up‑to‑date content.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and graduation work appropriate to academic rank.
• Develop and evaluate curricula, aligning programs with industry needs and accreditation standards.
• Maintain accurate student records, hold office hours, and provide academic advising.
• Conduct high‑impact research, aiming for at least two peer‑reviewed publications in Q1/Q2 Scopus‑indexed journals.
• Engage with industry and professional communities to foster applied research and knowledge exchange.
• Participate in academic governance, accreditation activities (including AACSB), and departmental meetings.
• Represent the university at conferences, professional events, and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Financial Technology or a closely related discipline from a QS Top‑500 university, preferably a Western‑accredited institution.
• Strong record of teaching effectiveness and research productivity, with publications in Scopus‑indexed journals.
• For Assistant Professor: minimum 2 years of undergraduate teaching experience at a QS Top‑500 university.
• For Associate Professor: minimum 5 years of undergraduate and graduate teaching experience, including supervision of MSc/DBA students.
• Relevant professional certifications and prior experience in a Canadian academic institution are preferred.
