Assistant/Associate Professor in Finance and Fintech

About the role

The School of Business at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking a candidate for a Spring 2027 faculty position as Assistant/Associate Professor in Finance and Financial Technology. The appointee will teach diversified portfolio finance and fintech courses focused on the latest developments in the field, informed by research, sustainability standards and technological advances.

AURAK is an independent, public, state-owned, non-profit university in the United Arab Emirates offering undergraduate and graduate degrees; its programs are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and instruction is in English.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses such as Corporate Finance and Financial Management, Investment and Portfolio Management, Financial Markets and Institutions, Banking and Digital Banking, and Financial Technology and Innovation
• Cover topics including Financial Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Risk Management and Financial Modeling, Blockchain, Digital Assets and Emerging Financial Technologies, Sustainable Finance and ESG, and Islamic Finance
• Contribute to research and teaching in line with the university's academic standards

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in Finance with the appropriate specialization from an accredited university
• Established research record suitable for the associate/assistant professor rank
• History of successful university teaching experience in the specialization
• Record of university or community service
