About the role
The Department of English at the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor specializing in Writing Studies/Composition, starting August 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a six‑course annual load (three courses each semester) in academic writing and composition.
- Engage in departmental service, student mentoring, and shared governance activities.
Required profile
- PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field.
- Strong publication record in high‑quality venues appropriate to the rank.
- Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching of academic writing.
- Preferred: minimum three years of teaching experience in North American‑style higher education and experience with international student populations.
