Audit Manager – Customs Operations

About the role

The Government of Dubai is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead customs operations audits within the Industry Department. You will design audit plans, execute engagements, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive audit programs and execute audits of targeted auditees.
• Contribute to the development of industry strategy and operational plans.
• Present audit reports, highlight findings, and assess short‑ and long‑term risks.
• Manage follow‑up actions, monitor corrective measures, and collaborate with relevant departments.
• Establish strategic business partnerships and lead stakeholder engagements.
• Lead research, thought‑leadership initiatives, and generate market insights.
• Stay updated on local and international laws affecting compliance and risk management.
• Coach and develop audit team members, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CFA (mandatory).
• Proven audit management experience, preferably in the industry or customs sector.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
