Barback - One&Only The Palm, Dubai

About the role

Kerzner International is hiring a Barback to join the Food & Beverage team at One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai. The Barback supports the bar team and ensures smooth, efficient daily operations by keeping the bar well stocked, clean and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist bartenders in preparing the bar for service by stocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, ice, mixers and beverages.
• Replenish bar stock throughout service and monitor stock levels, reporting needs to the bartender or bar manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of bar counters, shelves, storage rooms and equipment.
• Collect, clean, polish and restock glassware.
• Help receive, store and rotate beverage inventory, and assist with inventory counts and stock control.
• Prepare basic ingredients, garnishes and bar setup requirements, and remove empty bottles, used glassware and waste.
• Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
• Ensure bar stations are set up correctly before service and maintained during operating hours.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene and health and safety regulations, and maintain bar equipment and supplies.
• Work with bartenders, servers, hosts and kitchen staff, and support special events, promotions and theme nights.
• Take part in pre-shift briefings, training and departmental meetings, and act as a brand ambassador.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in a bar, restaurant or luxury hospitality environment, preferably in a 5-star hotel or resort.
• Previous experience supporting bar operations, stock replenishment and bar cleanliness is highly desirable.
• Excellent personal presentation, strong teamwork and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Well organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English communication skills; an additional language is an advantage.
