Barista - Luxury Hotel Bar

About the role

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, a luxury hotel offering Turkish hospitality, is hiring a barista. The role covers preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar counter and supporting the team, with the chance to train new recruits and help with inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards, and know all bar products and cocktail recipes
• Upsell to every customer and deliver personalised, efficient and friendly service
• Prepare mise-en-place, collect requisitions and check beverage stock against opening and closing procedures
• Keep the bar counter and surroundings clean, organised and stocked, and reduce spoilage and wastage
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, build good relationships with guests and perform cashiering duties
• Display premium liquors properly and keep ready garnishes for all cocktails
• Train new recruits on the job and assist in training other employees
• Help with monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly and yearly inventory of equipment, and assist in the Banqueting Department or other areas when needed
• Follow the Employee Handbook, fire, hygiene, health and safety policies, local legislation and hotel appearance standards, and be flexible to take on other reasonable duties

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality
• 1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel
