Bid Manager (AI-Augmented)

About the role

A leading national technology and digital infrastructure enterprise in Abu Dhabi, specialising in high-performance computing, advanced networking and cloud/cybersecurity solutions for education, research and government clients, is looking for an experienced Bid Manager. The role leads the end-to-end bid process for complex ICT and digital transformation opportunities, using AI-augmented tools to speed up document analysis, proposal drafting and compliance tracking while keeping full human ownership, quality control and risk oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full proposal lifecycle, from opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid analysis through submission, clarification, negotiation and handover to project delivery.
• Analyse RFP, RFI and tender documents with AI extraction tools to generate initial requirement breakdowns, then validate and refine them personally.
• Develop bid schedules, compliance matrices, responsibility trackers and submission checklists.
• Work with Solution Architects, presales engineers and technical SMEs to build end-to-end ICT proposals, and direct AI-assisted drafting of technical and commercial sections, reviewed and fact-checked before submission.
• Ensure alignment between technical architecture, Bills of Quantities, vendor quotations and contractual scope.
• Take final accountability for proposal accuracy, enforce data-handling and confidentiality protocols for client data processed by external AI engines, and identify bid risks and contractual gaps with legal and finance teams.
• Liaise with OEMs, vendors and subcontractors, respond to client clarifications, support post-submission presentations and hand over awarded bids to delivery teams.
• Maintain an AI-searchable bid knowledge repository with past proposals, templates and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in the IT/ICT industry, with a strong background in bid management, presales or proposal management for complex enterprise solutions.
• Proven track record managing government and public-sector formal tender processes across the UAE.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of multi-disciplinary ICT ecosystems (cloud, cybersecurity, data networks, system integration, managed services).
• Hands-on experience directing enterprise generative AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude-class applications, RAG-based search engines) for summarisation, drafting and analysis.
