Business Analyst & Product Owner – Airline

About the role

Cognizant is looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to join its airline consulting practice in Abu Dhabi. The role works within an agile scrum environment, reporting to the Senior Product Manager and acting as the customer proxy for product development.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager to shape product strategy, vision and roadmap.
• Review, prioritize and refine the team backlog during iteration planning.
• Coordinate dependencies with other Product Owners and ensure alignment across multiple scrum teams.
• Accept the final iteration plan and validate that delivered stories meet acceptance criteria.
• Continuously improve backlog items, ensuring they are clearly described, estimated and prioritized.
• Communicate required features and functionality to the scrum team for each iteration.
• Detail features and acceptance criteria to support quality control.

Required profile

• Experience working in agile scrum teams, preferably with more than one team.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business needs into user stories.
• Effective collaboration with product managers, stakeholders and development teams.
• Understanding of product ownership responsibilities and backlog management.
• Ability to ensure quality control and validate delivered functionality.
