Business Development Executive - Tracking & Telematics Solutions

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is looking for a Business Development Executive for its Tracking & Telematics Solutions business in Dubai. The role drives business growth, builds strategic customer relationships and expands the company's presence in fleet management and smart mobility. It suits someone who understands the UAE's vehicle tracking requirements and has worked with car rental companies, leasing businesses, corporate fleets or government-related entities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in fleet management, vehicle tracking and telematics solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with car rental companies, vehicle leasing providers, corporate fleet operators and government or semi-government entities.
• Promote tracking and telematics solutions aligned with customer needs and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Develop opportunities related to government-regulated tracking programmes such as SIRA, DoT and emirate-specific requirements.
• Prepare sales proposals, deliver presentations, negotiate commercial terms and convert opportunities into business.
• Monitor market trends, identify growth opportunities and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal teams so that customer requirements are understood and solutions are delivered effectively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
• 2-3 years of business development or sales experience in fleet telematics, GPS/vehicle tracking, fleet management, transportation technology, mobility platforms or IoT solutions.
• Proven experience selling to car rental companies, leasing providers, corporate fleet operators or similar business customers.
• Understanding of UAE regulatory tracking programmes, fleet compliance requirements and government frameworks.
• Experience engaging with government or semi-government entities and smart mobility projects is highly desirable.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
