Business Development Manager – Air & Sea

About the role

The Business Development Manager (Air & Sea) will act as a proactive hunter, identifying new customers and trade lanes while expanding existing relationships for DSV in the UAE market.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a sales pipeline in Microsoft Dynamics according to company guidelines.
• Target and qualify potential clients on strategic trade lanes and generate new business opportunities.
• Maintain 100% CRM accuracy for every sales call, visit, and client interaction.
• Conduct a minimum number of sales calls per week and present weekly pipeline updates to management.
• Develop detailed SOPs for each client and support regional sales campaigns.
• Generate leads for overseas DSV offices and coordinate with product specialists, Inside Sales, and RDMs.
• Assist in payment collection from customers following company procedures.
• Review performance monthly, set action plans, and achieve defined KPIs.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of sales experience in a multinational freight forwarding or logistics company.
• Strong knowledge of the transport and logistics market.
• Self‑managed, result‑driven and outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and influence stakeholders.
• Diplomatic, trustworthy and capable of analysing requirements to propose solutions.
