Buyer - Trading Items and Consumables

About the role

The Experienced Buyer sources and procures trading items and industrial consumables, making sure materials meet specifications and arrive on time at a competitive total cost. The role covers supplier sourcing across the UAE, China, India and Europe, commercial negotiations, purchase order follow-up and import documentation and customs coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and negotiation: source and purchase PPE, lubricants, tools, fasteners, packaging and safety equipment in line with approved requirements; identify, evaluate and maintain suppliers in the UAE, China, India and Europe; negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and other commercial conditions; apply and compare Incoterms such as FOB, CIF, DDP and EXW.
• Purchase order and delivery management: prepare and process purchase orders in Oracle ERP, expedite open orders and coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders and logistics teams; keep procurement records, quotations and order status in Oracle ERP.
• Product knowledge: familiarity with anchors and structural hardware (Hilti, Fischer, Würth), wood and packing materials, tools and machinery, hand and cutting tools, fasteners, and abrasives and welding consumables.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of procurement or buying experience, including at least 3 years sourcing trading items, consumables, tools, hardware or similar materials.
