About the role
The Captain will oversee a section of the Sand & Koal restaurant at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, ensuring smooth operations and delivering the highest standards of service to guests.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise opening and closing brigade duties.
- Assist the Assistant Restaurant Manager with planning for reservations and special events.
- Check condition, cleanliness and functionality of equipment and furniture.
- Train waitstaff and junior waiters.
- Set up the assigned restaurant section and welcome guests at the station.
- Present menus, take orders, and ensure speedy service.
- Handle billing, cash procedures and guest complaints.
- Maintain uniform standards and personal grooming.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Captain or similar role in a luxury hotel (resort experience a plus).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Senior School qualification or equivalent; Russian language proficiency is an added value.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Russian language.
