Civil Engineer – ID Fit‑Out & Joinery

About the role

Spazio Design & Build International LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support interior design (ID), fit‑out and joinery projects across Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from design coordination and technical review to on‑site execution, testing and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate civil engineering drawings, details, specifications and technical submissions in line with project requirements, UAE regulations and authority standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor construction progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings, method statements and schedules.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, review contractor and subcontractor submissions, and approve shop drawings and materials.
• Support drainage, storm‑water management, waterproofing, wet‑area construction, structural interfaces, floor and wall systems, and concrete works related to ID fit‑out and joinery.
• Collaborate with interior designers, architects, MEP engineers, project managers, QA/QC engineers, site engineers and subcontractors to ensure integrated delivery.
• Contribute to value engineering, cost optimisation, constructability reviews and risk mitigation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of UAE civil engineering experience on commercial, hospitality, residential, villa, office and high‑end interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong hands‑on exposure to site execution, inspection, testing and final handover processes.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE building codes, authority requirements and construction standards.
