Civil Technician

About the role

The Civil Technician is responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently. This full‑time position works on‑site at a property in Dubai Marina, supporting both guest areas and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Program televisions and handle basic housekeeping‑related inventory duties.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and follow safety, security, and company policies.
• Good physical stamina to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb.
• Professional appearance and confidentiality with proprietary information.
• Clear communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
