Clinical Psychologist

About the role

The Clinical Psychologist will work alongside psychiatrists to diagnose and treat psychiatric illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes delivering therapeutic interventions, conducting assessments, and contributing to research and education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric interviews, collect diagnostic data, and perform psychometric testing.
• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapies using behavioral methods.
• Plan therapy frequency, intensity, and duration for children and adults.
• Participate in research, educational activities, and community outreach related to mental health.
• Respond to after‑hours or emergency calls as required.

Required profile

• Valid DOH license as Clinical Psychologist in Abu Dhabi.
• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution.
• 3‑5 years of clinical psychology experience.
• Excellent oral and written English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality.
