Cloud Solution Architect - Tomoh Apprenticeship

About the role

Microsoft is recruiting a Cloud Solution Architect for its Tomoh apprenticeship in Dubai, a paid six-month programme aimed at accelerating Emirati employability through early-in-profession recruitment and skilling. The apprenticeship starts in January 2027 and is split into a one-month onboarding and skilling bootcamp followed by five months of on-the-job training, including mentoring, coaching, job shadowing and real-life scenario assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations and installation and maintenance of company products.
• Assist sales staff in assessing how company products fit customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for customer applications and solutions.
• Apply architectural knowledge to meet business and IT requirements and resolve technical constraints.
• Act as the voice of the customer or partner, sharing feedback on technical capabilities, gaps and blockers with internal teams.
• Contribute to proposals for viable solutions and demonstrate design concepts through collaboration sessions with customers and partners.
• Support research projects and help scope surveys to assess customers' intellectual property needs or process changes.
• Take part in external architect community events such as conferences, seminars, webcasts, blogs and hackathons.
• Participate in discussions on architecture design, resiliency reviews and technical optimisation, and ensure customer environments and applications are well architected.

Required profile

• Emirati national holding a UAE Family Book.
• Fluency in English; legally authorised to work in the UAE (citizenship or valid visa/work permit).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration/Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Preferred: passion for technology, strong stakeholder and relationship management, and proficient communication, analytical and presentation skills.
