About the role
The Commis 2 will support the Cafe Belge Kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Cook and assemble dishes, ensuring quality, presentation and adherence to food preparation checklists.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
- Monitor food temperatures, test doneness and maintain food safety standards.
- Set‑up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
- Follow company safety policies, report incidents and maintain professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Food preparation techniques including chopping, portioning and measuring.
- Temperature monitoring and food safety compliance.
