Construction Director

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, results‑driven Construction Director to lead our construction operations, oversee major projects and ensure delivery excellence across all stages of project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction operations, ensuring projects meet approved schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Develop strategic plans for construction activities, resource allocation and long‑term growth.
• Manage multiple projects from planning and design coordination through execution and handover.
• Monitor progress, financial performance and resource utilization to drive operational efficiency.
• Establish and enforce construction policies, safety procedures and quality assurance standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, suppliers and authorities.
• Review budgets, cost estimates, contracts and procurement strategies.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Lead, mentor and develop project managers, site managers, engineers and construction teams.
• Report performance, operational developments and business risks to senior management.

Required profile

• Background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, project delivery, contract administration and cost management.
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Excellent planning, budgeting, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strategic thinking with focus on operational excellence, risk management and business growth.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction safety standards, quality control systems and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with project management software, construction technologies and digital reporting tools.
