Construction Estimator - Concrete Restoration

About the role

Structural, the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The role covers self-performed structural and concrete restoration work across complex projects that improve the durability and longevity of critical infrastructure and commercial structures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates through detailed quantity takeoffs, labor productivity and production rate analysis, material and equipment pricing, and evaluation of subcontractor proposals.
• Develop conceptual, budgetary and final bid estimates, defining and quantifying project scope from drawings, specifications and site conditions.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules covering sequencing, phasing and duration assumptions.
• Lead bid review meetings with internal stakeholders to align on pursuit strategy and validate pricing assumptions.
• Develop proposals with clear scope of work, project approach and inclusions/exclusions, and engage clients and partners during the bid process.
• Collaborate with operations, project management and field teams for a smooth project handoff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years of progressive estimating experience, with a strong preference for self-performed concrete restoration, structural repair or specialty contracting.
• Experience managing multiple estimates at once, including mentoring or supporting junior estimators.
• Advanced expertise in concrete repair and restoration methods, productivity-driven estimating for self-performed work, and construction contract analysis and risk allocation.
• Understanding of the UAE construction market, including pricing dynamics and key stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Industry-standard estimating software such as OST, Bluebeam or similar.
• Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
