Construction Manager - Branded Residences

About the role

Nova International General Contracting, a UAE-based general contractor specializing in branded residences, is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety, while managing site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full construction lifecycle from mobilization to handover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations, and ensure milestones meet contractual obligations.
• Manage day-to-day site operations, monitor progress, productivity and quality, and identify and act on risks.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors on site, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Report progress and key issues to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications and Abu Dhabi building codes, and support audits, inspections and authority approvals.
• Enforce HSE policies, promote a proactive safety culture, and ensure risk assessments and method statements are followed.
• Monitor project costs, review subcontractor performance, certify works for payment and help resolve contractual and commercial matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• 15-20 years of progressive experience in construction project execution.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing large-scale projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects in the UAE, with strong knowledge of construction methodologies, site management and project planning.
• Experience with UAE construction regulations and local authority requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
