Construction Manager for Wastewater Treatment Project

About the role

Kuzu Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the execution of a new Wastewater Treatment Plant in Dubai and future GCC projects. The role demands a hands‑on leader who can coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental disciplines from mobilisation through hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on‑site construction activities across civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental scopes.
• Oversee civil works such as earthworks, concrete structures, tanks, pipe racks and buildings.
• Supervise mechanical installation of pumps, blowers, process equipment, piping and tie‑ins.
• Direct electrical and instrumentation works including MV/LV systems, cabling, panels and SCADA coordination.
• Control environmental/process works, ensuring treatment units meet discharge standards and are ready for commissioning.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise subcontractors, discipline engineers, site engineers and labour resources.
• Monitor progress against the Primavera P6 programme, taking corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, ITPs and work procedures for each discipline.
• Lead pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities and liaise with client, consultants and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of construction management experience, preferably on wastewater or multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in the Gulf region, with strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international construction standards.
• Excellent leadership, planning and multi‑disciplinary site management skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to be based on‑site in Dubai.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental/process interfaces on treatment plant projects.
• Experience with MV/LV electrical systems and SCADA/instrumentation coordination.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract clauses and QA/QC procedures.
