Consultant Geriatric Medicine Physician – Dubai (Tax-Free)

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant / Specialist Geriatric Medicine Physician to join our multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The role offers the chance to work in a JCI‑accredited, patient‑centred hospital, providing specialised care to an ageing and complex patient population while enjoying a tax‑free income.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments covering functional, cognitive, psychological and social domains.
• Diagnose and manage multimorbidity, frailty, polypharmacy and chronic conditions such as dementia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans focused on rehabilitation, long‑term health and quality of life.
• Coordinate care with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers and other specialists.
• Perform falls risk assessments, mobility management and rehabilitation planning.
• Provide end‑of‑life, palliative and advanced care planning support.
• Optimise medication regimens and address polypharmacy risks.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑board certification in Geriatric Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Board qualification recognised by American Board, UK CCT, MRCP/FRCP, European Board, Royal College (Canada), Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS or equivalent.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licence conversion (full support provided).
• Willingness to work in Dubai, UAE.
