Consultant Neonatologist – Advanced Perinatal & Newborn Medicine

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its neonatal intensive care services. The organization seeks a Consultant Neonatologist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑risk newborn and advanced perinatal care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level care for premature, critically ill and high‑risk newborns in NICU and neonatal units.
• Manage complex conditions such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoxic‑ischemic encephalopathy, and feeding difficulties.
• Perform and supervise neonatal procedures in line with facility capabilities and clinical privileges.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary management with neonatology, pediatric surgery, cardiology, neurology, radiology and allied health teams.
• Lead neonatal resuscitation, ventilation, nutritional support and safe transition to follow‑up care.
• Communicate diagnosis, treatment plans and prognosis effectively with families.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, infection prevention and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Internationally trained consultant neonatologist with recognized specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCPCH, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACP, Arab Board, MD/DNB/DM/FCPS).
• Experience in high‑risk neonatal intensive care and multidisciplinary team environments.
• Commitment to international healthcare standards and patient‑centred communication.
